Frequently Asked Questions
Everything about finding shifts, hiring staff, getting paid and managing your account.
For job seekers
Using the DO Jobs app to find part-time and freelance work.
What is DO Jobs?
DO Jobs is an app that connects you with businesses looking for part-time and freelance staff. You browse shifts near you, apply for the ones that suit your schedule, work them, and get paid through the platform.
Is it really free to use?
Yes. Creating a profile, browsing shifts and applying for work is completely free. There is no subscription and no fee to join.
Who can sign up?
You need to be at least 18 and legally entitled to work in Singapore, with any pass or permit your situation requires. We verify identity before you can be engaged for shifts.
How do I get verified?
After signing up you complete your profile and submit your identity documents in the app. Verification is done by our team, and you will be notified once it is complete. Until then you can browse, but not be confirmed for shifts.
What kinds of work are available?
Retail, hospitality, events, customer service, delivery, admin support and creative work, among others. New shifts are posted by businesses throughout the week.
How do I apply for a shift?
Open the shift in the app to see the date, hours, break, location and rate, then apply. The business reviews applicants and confirms who they want. You will get a notification when you are confirmed.
How is my attendance recorded?
You record your attendance through the app at the start and end of your shift, and sign the outlet's attendance sheet where the business uses one. That record is what your payment is based on, so make sure it is accurate before you leave.
Can I work for more than one business?
Yes. You are free to take shifts from as many businesses as you like, as long as you honour the shifts you have already accepted.
What if I can't make a shift I accepted?
Cancel in the app as early as you possibly can and let the business know. Things happen — but repeatedly cancelling late, or not turning up at all, affects your rating and can lead to your account being suspended.
How do ratings work?
After each shift the business can rate your performance. A strong rating history helps you stand out and get confirmed faster. Ratings must be honest and based on the actual shift; we remove feedback that is abusive or discriminatory.
Why was I signed out when I logged in on another phone?
For security, a DO Jobs account can be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in somewhere new ends the session on the old device. If you are being signed out unexpectedly, change your password and contact us.
For businesses
Using DO Connect to staff your shifts and manage your outlets.
What is DO Connect?
DO Connect is the platform businesses use to post shifts, review and confirm staff, track attendance across outlets, and handle invoicing — all in one place.
How quickly can I get staff?
You can expect qualified applications within 24–48 hours of posting a shift. Clear descriptions, accurate rates and realistic requirements fill roles fastest.
What does it cost?
There is no subscription and no upfront cost to post shifts. You are charged for the work you actually engage, on the terms agreed with us. Get in touch and we will walk you through the numbers for your business.
How do you verify the people who apply?
Everyone on the platform goes through identity verification before they can be confirmed for a shift, and builds a rating history from completed work. You remain responsible for your own hiring decisions and for any additional checks your industry requires.
Can I manage several outlets?
Yes. Outlets are managed separately under one account, so you can post shifts, track attendance and view costs per outlet while still seeing the whole picture at company level.
Can I post more than one role at a time?
Yes — there is no limit on the number of shifts you post or the number of staff you engage.
How does attendance work?
Staff record attendance through the app, and you confirm it. You can also download or send a sign-in sheet for the outlet, or display a QR code for staff to sign in against.
Confirming attendance promptly matters: it is what releases payment to the worker and what your invoice is built from.
What if a hire doesn't work out?
Tell us. We provide dispute resolution support, and you can leave honest feedback that helps other businesses. Where an adjustment to an invoice is warranted, we will raise a credit note.
Can I see it before committing?
Yes — request a free demo and we will show you how DO Connect staffs your shifts, start to finish.
Payments & billing
Getting paid, and how invoicing works.
When do I get paid for a shift?
Your earnings are credited to your wallet once the attendance for that shift has been confirmed and approved. Until then they show as pending and cannot be withdrawn.
How do I withdraw my earnings?
Withdraw from your wallet to the bank account saved on your profile. The minimum withdrawal is $10.00.
Check your bank details carefully — we cannot recover funds sent to an account number entered incorrectly.
Do I have to handle my own tax?
Yes. You are responsible for declaring your earnings and for any tax or statutory contributions that arise from them. We do not deduct these on your behalf.
How are businesses invoiced?
Invoices are raised from confirmed attendance and are payable by the due date shown on the invoice. GST is applied at the prevailing rate where chargeable.
What is a credit note or debit note?
If something needs adjusting after an invoice has gone out, we raise a separate note rather than changing the original invoice. A credit note reduces what is owed; a debit note increases it. Both appear against the invoice so the trail stays clear.
Can I get a statement of what I owe?
Yes. A statement of account showing your outstanding invoices and any adjustments is available on request, and can be filtered to specific outlets.
I think an invoice is wrong. What do I do?
Contact us within 7 days of receiving it and we will investigate. Anything not in dispute stays payable by the original due date.
Account & privacy
Your data, your devices and your account.
Where do I get the app?
DO Jobs and DO Connect are available for Android and iOS — the download links are on our home page. You can also use the platform in a web browser.
What data do you collect about me?
What we collect, why, and who it is shared with is set out in our Privacy Policy. We handle personal data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can request deletion at any time — the process, what gets removed, and what we are required to keep is explained on our Data Deletion page.
Can I have more than one account?
No. One account per person. Accounts are personal and must not be shared or transferred — your verification and rating history are attached to them.
Why was my account suspended?
Accounts can be suspended for breaches of our Terms & Conditions — repeated no-shows, false information, or conduct that puts other users at risk. We will tell you the reason and you can respond. Email hr@dojobs.sg to appeal.
